A Report from the International Folkemøde for Educators

Curious about how gap year educators from around the world inspire one another?

This summer, TC Executive Director Jacob Hundt and TC alum Tom Vassão represented Thoreau College at an international gathering of educators in Denmark, hosted by the International People’s College, a Danish “folk high school” located in Elsinore, just north of Copenhagen.  This weeklong conference brought together teachers, students, and scholars from many different countries with connections to the folk high school model.  Click here to read more about what they learned about folk high schools and how this model has inspired schools and organizations around the world.

Head to the TC blog, “Field Notes" for more on their adventure, new perspectives on learning, and stories that connect communities worldwide.
